AI Smart Fields

The fields your forecast runs on are the ones nobody fills in. Opine drafts them from the calls, threads, and emails they were said in, and writes only what you approve.

How AI Smart Fields works

One field, from the sentence you wrote about it to the value in Salesforce.

  1. 01 · Instruct

You say what the field means

Write the guidance the way you would explain it to a new rep. Set how often that field refreshes, and decide whether it may ever write on its own.

  2. 02 · Read

It reads the deal, not the last call

Every call, thread, email, and CRM value on the opportunity, in a single pass. Deals with nothing new since the last run are skipped before any AI is invoked.

  3. 03 · Draft

The value arrives with its sentence

You get the suggested value and the line that produced it, side by side. Judging a field takes seconds instead of a hunt back through the transcript.

  4. 04 · Apply

Nothing writes until it clears your rule

Suggestions queue for review by default. Auto-apply is a per-field opt-in, and every write runs under the credentials of the person who applied it.

A field is only as good as the context behind it

An extraction tool reads the call it was handed. Six weeks later it still says Dana owns the budget, because in March that was true. Opine keeps the whole opportunity in one record, so the value reflects every signal since, and it tells you which answer it replaced and when.

The record finally says what the deal said

Every value carries the line that produced it, the rule that allowed it, and the person who applied it.

What changes, from the rep to the board

You are not buying a field-filling tool. You are buying a pipeline your team can defend without anyone taking notes about taking notes.

Your reps and sales engineers

They stop retyping the call they just had

The competitor, the next step, the real approver: all of it was said out loud, and Opine already has it. The agent drafts the value, the rep glances at the line behind it and approves.

Deal reviews run on what happened, not what got typed

Close date, next step, and champion are current the morning of the review, each carrying the sentence it came from. The hour stops going on chasing updates and starts going on calls.

A forecast and a competitive picture you can defend

Competitor mentions and economic buyers reach reporting the week they are said, not at the loss review. When the board asks why a deal moved, the answer is in the record instead of in someone's memory.

FAQ

Asked in real demos

The questions that come up when a team puts its own CRM fields in an agent's hands.

How do I tell it what a field means? Do we have to write prompts?

You write a sentence, not a prompt. Each field takes its own guidance in plain English, the way you would explain it to a new rep: name any vendor the buyer says they are also evaluating, or who signs, with their title. That guidance, a refresh cadence, and an auto-apply setting are the whole configuration for a field.

Does a field update right after a call ends?

No. Runs are on demand or on a schedule. There is no post-call trigger today. You run a fill on demand when you want a deal current now, or you set a cadence per field, daily or a chosen weekday, and the scheduled run does it overnight. If a field matters the moment a call ends, run it on demand and it is filled before you finish your notes.

What happens when it gets a value wrong?

You dismiss it, in about two seconds. Suggestions arrive with the line they came from, so a wrong one is usually obvious on sight rather than after a hunt through the transcript. Review is the default state: nothing reaches the CRM until someone applies it, and dismissing a suggestion leaves the existing value untouched.

Some of our reps do fill these in. Does it overwrite their work?

Only if a human says so. By default a suggestion sits beside the current value and waits for a person to choose. Auto-apply is opt-in per field, so you can automate the fields nobody defends and keep review on the ones your team owns. Values that have not changed never push to the CRM at all.

We have field-level security on these objects. Does that still hold?

Yes. Writes run as the user. Read-only and locked fields are excluded from generation, not just from writing. Everything that does write goes through the acting user's own credentials, so Salesforce record- and field-level security behaves exactly as it did before Opine was in the picture.

Is this only opportunity fields, or can it reach our other objects?

Five scopes, one engine. CRM deal, account, and contact fields, plus Opine's own deal and company properties. The same guidance style that fills Competitor on the opportunity fills a buying role on the contact, so participant intelligence and deal fields are the same setup, not two products.

Can we tell AI-filled values apart from human-entered ones?

Inside Opine, always. Every suggestion is a tracked item with its full history: the value proposed, the source it cited, and who applied it. Provenance markers inside the CRM itself, like flagging a Salesforce value as AI-filled, are not supported today. We are considering it.

How is this different from what CRM Hygiene does?

Same engine, different altitude. CRM Hygiene is the outcome across your whole pipeline: agents keeping every open deal's record current without asking reps to type more. AI Smart Fields is the mechanism underneath it, at the level of one field: the guidance you wrote, the sentence the value came from, the gate it has to clear. Teams usually meet the outcome first and end up here when they want the controls.

Proven in the field

Technical sales teams run their pipeline on Opine. The results are public.

I’ve used countless presales tools over the years, and I can confirm that not a single one comes close to what Opine is doing. Because of their platform, win rates are up, SEs are more efficient, and leadership has access to never-before-seen pipeline intelligence. It’s amazing.
