Objective

Validate the successful configuration and testing of a SAML connection with your Identity Provider (IdP) using Opine.

Instructions

1.

Upgrade to a Team Plan: Ensure your Opine account is upgraded to a Team plan to enable SAML functionality.

2.

Access SAML Configuration: Navigate to Opine Security Settings and add your organization's apex domain for verification.

3.

Verify Domain Ownership: Add a TXT record to your domain as instructed, and trigger verification in Opine.

4.

Configure SAML Connection: Retrieve and enter the following Service Provider Configuration details into your IdP's application:

  • SP Entity ID: Unique identifier for your SAML connection.

  • ACS URL: Application’s URL for post-authentication redirection.

5.

Enter Identity Provider Configuration: Obtain and save these details from your IdP:

  • SSO URL: IdP's URL for user authentication.

  • Entity ID: Unique identifier of your IdP's application.

  • Certificate: Required for secure connection to your IdP.

  • Map Claims: Map your IdP's claims to Opine's fields: email, firstName, lastName.
